It appears that, following the recent discontinuation of Rock Candy, the music magazines Revolver and Goldmine have suffered drastic cutbacks from their parent company, Veeps, according to various sources. Nearly the entire staff of each magazine appears to have been laid off yesterday. Veeps, which is now owned by Live Nation, appears to have owned the magazines since 2024 or 2025.
Revolver, founded in 2000 as a general-interest rock music magazine, is an institution in the world of hard rock and metal, while Goldmine publishes a print newspaper—and, more recently, a magazine—for record collectors since the mid-1970s.
