THE GENERAL WON'T QUIT...

Published in News

In a recent interview for "TheClassicMetalShow.com" Udo Dirkschneider said that he has no plans of retiring as long as he enjoys what he is doing."I don't know. I mean, a lot of people are asking me already, 'What do you think about retiring or something like that?' and I said 'No.' I mean, I don't know… For me, it's always easy to say, you know — as long as I have fun, I don't stop. If I don't have any health problems, my voice is working or something else is going on, I keep going, you know. I love to be on tour, I love to play in front of people, make new albums, especially now with the new members in the band. Still it's fun for me, everything, to do this. I don't know… Maybe another ten years. I don't know. We'll see. This is a good thing — to make this kind of music, it doesn't matter how old you are.

VIDEO: UDO SINGS ACCEPT

Published in News

As you already know Udo Dirkschneider, ex Accept singer is touring singing the band’s song for the last time, and he also visits Athens, Greece on March 19th. Below, you can watch a video from a recent show in Gothenburg that a fan uploaded on YouTube…

We live in a time and age where the phrase “end of an era” pops up much more frequently in the various articles and the casual chats among the music fans all over the world. After all, the recent huge loss of such legendary artists as Lemmy, David Bowie, Jimmy Bain, Glenn Frey, Scott Weiland etc. filled us with grief and troubled us all in regards with the future of our beloved music. We had underlined in the past the inevitable artistic and biological end that was imminent as many stars are approaching (if not surpassed) the age of 70.

The break up of Udo from Accept looks like it was something good for both camps. Accept are going through a second youth having found a worthy replacement that brought his own personality to the band, but also kept the connection with the past, while Udo on the other side managed to build a respectful solo career  and keeping his popularity intact.

We just received the official tour schedule of Udo Dirkschneider on which Greece is included with two shows
