Martin Popoff - The Big Book Of Hair Metal

This is a book that was missing from the market and we couldn’t be happier with it. “The Big Book Of Hair Metal” is the absolute and ultimate photo album about all those 80s hard rock outfits that were later became mostly known as “hair metal bands”. The world-renowned journalist Martin Popoff oversees and pens this enormous, fully illustrated 225-page book that includes tons of previously unreleased photos, timeline of the most important events of the decade focusing (mostly but not exclusively) on the US hard rock sound. Popoff does not simply lay out in a cold manner the events but enriches his text with exclusive interviews with the artists themselves thus making the whole reading experience mot enjoyable.
“The Big Book Of Hair Metal” might not be an exhausting chronicle of the 80s hard rock genre and I am sure the writer didn’t have such an intention. It is packed with photographs, promotional sheets with info about releases and concerts of that era, prints of various tour schedules and covers of singles and rare archival material that supplies the backbone of this outstanding book.

All the fans of the genre and of bands like Motley Crue, KISS, Def Leppard, Warrant, Guns N’ Roses, L.A. Guns, Cinderella, Van Halen, Winger, Ratt, Keel, Kix, Twisted Sister etc. will definitely be amazed by the sheer quality of Popoff’s work and needless to say that it is a “must have” for every single hard rocker out there who…wants to rock one more time!
