Beatles producer, also known as "the fifth Beatle", George Martin passed awya at 90, as it was confirmed on Twitter by Ringo Starr and Lennon and Yoko Ono son, Sean. Except from the Beatles, for whom he produced every album except from "Let It Be", Martin worked with Gerry and the Pacemakers, Shirley Bassey and Cill Black in a seven decade long career, while he was named "Sir" in 1996. Without a doubt one the most creative minds in music history... R.I.P.

Former Beatles members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited in the studio this past weekend to work on a song together. And they were joined at Starr’s home recording facility by Eagles icon Joe Walsh for good measure.
It’s the first time since 2010 that the Fab Four rhythm section worked together. Their last collaboration was on the tracks “Peace Dream” and “Walk With You” on the drummer’s album Y Not.

The Beatles have already set their sights on the next expanded reissue project after this month’s look back at Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Producer Giles Martin, son of the late Beatles collaborator George Martin, confirms they’ll focus on the the band’s 1968 self-titled release, better known as the White Album.
He admits that the task is far more daunting this time – despite the fact that the upcoming super-deluxe Sgt. Pepper’s set includes a whopping 100 minutes of outtakes, many previously unheard and unreleased.
