Alice Cooper launched an outsider campaign for public office with a 10-point manifesto and asks people to vote for him in both US and Great Britain. “Tired of the rhetoric, the misguiding, the media frenzy, keeping his snake in the cage and the guillotine in storage, he is putting people before career. Alice Cooper wants to be elected”, says his press release. His manifesto includes getting Brian Johnson back to AC/DC, renaming Big Ben to “Big Lemmy” and “no more pencils, no more books” between others. For this cause there is a special website and his classic song “Elected” from the monumental album from 1972 “Billion Dollar Babies” was re-recorded and you can listen to it here.
Obviously, this whole thing is another way of Alice Cooper making a poignant commene about politics in both the States and Britain, although it would be fun if this campaign was for real!

"I just think that's such a unique combination," Alice said. "Whoever has tickets to that show has got the golden ticket, because who doesn't want to see that?"

Cooper said that he heard about the pairing a while ago, but didn't believe it at first. "At first I thought it was an April Fool's thing," he said. "I went, 'Oh, come on.' Then I started thinking about it and said, 'You know, his voice is absolutely perfect for that band. That might just work.'"

Alice Cooper released a lyric video for the song “Paranormal” from his upcoming self-titled album, which will be out through earMUSIC on July 28th. A few hours before the Alice Cooper concert in Petra theatre, we went up the road to the hotel where the Prince of Darkness was staying and after we managed not to pass out the first seconds – after all you don’t get to meet Alice Cooper everyday – the interview started on time and ended…with Alice Cooper assistant’s alarm clock! When we left, none of us was quite sure if that was real or just a dream. Interview: George Anasontzis, Sakis Nikas, Christos Stamelos
