“I can’t believe what we experienced this weekend with Warlord”…this was a phrase uttered by hundreds of fans that have been waiting patiently for many, many years! Personally, I can’t (or want, if you prefer) to differentiate myself from all those who feels this way because, I am truly one of them who counted down each and every day for those two concerts.

The first day for the well established Greek outdoor festival had come, but not with the best signs as the attendance was poor, definitely one of the poorest in its history. It’s characteristic that when Mamma Kin was getting on the stage, that was five in the afternoon, there was almost nobody there! Certainly that day’s line up was controversial with the Locos that didn’t draw the crowd that the promoters were expecting, with two classic strong Greek bands (Last Drive, Nightstalker), and an American one that we haven’t seen for a long time (Nashville Pussy)…

With a stunning ticket presale (something of a paradox in the modern reality here in Greece), the promoters moved the show to a bigger venue that resembled a little bit to a dance/techno club. The atmosphere was from a very early point electric and quite steaming as the crowd had almost filled the place and awaiting anxiously for Megadeth.

Hail

Last Sunday, we had the luck to witness the best heavy metal party that ever took place on Greek soil. Hail, a true all-star band featuring Andreas Kisser, David Ellefson, Jimmy DeGrasso and Tim “Ripper” Owens, had a stop in our country in the frame of their small tour.
